Support from home, delivered to commissary.
InmateCrypto is a shared wallet for the people who love someone inside. Family and friends fund it together, it is held safely for your loved one, and when they need it, it moves to their commissary account through the payment services facilities already use.
Prototype and concept. Not live. No coin or money exists yet, and no funds are accepted.
Four plain steps.
InmateCrypto does not replace the services facilities already use. It sits in front of them, so everyone who wants to help has one simple, shared place to do it.
Set up a wallet
Create a wallet for the person you support with their name, facility and ID number, the same details existing payment services already ask for.
Everyone can chip in
Parents, partners, kids, friends and faith groups all add to one wallet. Balances show in US dollars, and every fee shows before you pay.
A transfer is requested
When your loved one needs commissary money, a transfer is requested. Until then, the wallet holds the funds, so support can build up over time.
It lands in commissary
The money moves to their commissary or trust account through the payment service the facility already uses, such as JPay, under that facility's rules and limits.
Designed for real families.
Design mockups of the family app. Names, places and amounts are made up.

No one has to carry it alone.
- Several people add to one wallet, so support is shared.
- Money waits in the wallet until your loved one needs it.
- Every fee shows up front, in dollars.
- A clear record of every deposit and every transfer.
- Works with the provider the facility already uses.
Built to fit the systems you already run.
- Funds arrive through existing, approved payment providers.
- Your rules come first: deposit limits, approved senders and holds.
- Money is held and moved only by licensed partners.
- No new kiosks, software or staff work inside the facility.
- A new, organized source of deposits for providers.
From a family wallet to a financial home.
The family wallet
Shared funding and clean transfers to commissary, through existing providers and licensed partners.
The project coin
A future digital coin that carries support from supporters to providers. The plan is for it to track the US dollar, so $20 sent stays $20. It does not exist yet and is not for sale.
Optional investing
An optional way for a wallet to hold other established cryptocurrencies, only where the law allows it, only through licensed partners and with clear warnings that prices go up and down. No returns are promised.
